206.151.68.88 writes: Well, I finally got to talk with Nancy Campbell. That girl is still with TWA after 28 years. That might be a good contest for reunions--how long you were at one job--'cause there's not much of that these days. Anyway, she just moved to Betterton, Md. and commuting to NY where she flies out of to parts unknown. I've also got some new addresses on some grads from the address return system with the post office. Some mailings have resulted in addresses unkown, so maybe when I get a bunch we'll post them and see if anyone has a clue where these people are. Later, Pat Pat |
Amphicar Monday, 13-Mar-2000 10:16:32
206.151.68.88 writes: His name was Johnnie Swift and he and his family either sold boats and/or built pools or he later built pools, because he put in my brother, Scott's, pool in North East, Md. I, yes,I, went for a ride in that amphicar--it was neat. We had a red corvair, which we later painted black, I think--goodness who can remember that far back! Anyway, when it snowed my dad would let me take it to BHS parking lot and do do-nuts and that's why I'm such a great snow driver. Remember Peggi's Impala with 4 on the floor and she had to have a pillow behind her to reach the floor? Pat Fox |

Planes, Trains and Automobiles Sunday, 05-Mar-2000 10:18:34
208.37.100.221 writes: Mostly automobiles. Now there's an interesting thread!. What cars do you remember from the HS era?!. I started with a a white '63 Corvair Monza. At one point when it needed a muffler, I told the Midas guy to put on a "glass pack" replacement muffler. The thing sounded like a Mack Truck and you could hear me coming a mile away! I don't think my father ever caught on as long as I didn't rev it up in the drive way. At various times I drove his cool looking burgundy '63 Buick Riveria. It was known as the "Royal Riv" and was pretty fast. That car was used mostly for Prom dates as I remember. Later we got a green '66 Mustang convertible. That was nice for cruising at the beach. I also remember Dave Porter's black Renault named "Waldo". Bill England had a grey Opel we called the "Pel". I think it had a stick shift, so Bill thought he was pretty cool when he "speed shifted" it. I think it had about 24 horsepower so it had a hard time "getting wheels". One time Steve Bruni and I were in Phila at a concert at the Vet and when we came out his '64 Pontiac LeMans had been stolen. I'm sure there are other car stories. How about Jim Seiman's yellow GTO? Who had that Amphicar and later got an electric blue 396 Chevelle?. He would never let anybody smoke in it. There were many other cars. They played an important part in our social life. Kevin |

They encouraged me to go on with my singing after highschool which I did and do still. Joined the Alumni Theater a few years later.I also remain friends with Mr.Modica who recognized my artistic talent early on and gave me confidence to expand on that thru-out my life. Thanks Guys Terry Yetter |

Successful Searches Friday, 11-Feb-2000 11:11:58
206.151.67.146 writes: Here's an update on Alumni searches. I talked to Elaine Croft and she's living and working in Wilmington. She will try to get on the site asap. Also talked to John Lee last evening and he's trying not to get an e-mail address, but he does return phone calls and has a fax machine at his business.(one of his associates is net literate) I "E-d" back and forth with Steve Bruni, who is still at Del Art Museum and told him of the site. I mailed a copy of the site's front page to Alison Goeller who is with U of Md in Europe and also to Nancy Campbell who is in NJ, but who recently moved and I hope to get a return address for her. If anyone reads this and has info on others, I'll be glad to e-mail or snail-mail this info to them. Pat Walker Fox |

Email and address locator project Sunday, 16-May-1999 08:00:24
209.143.116.123 writes: I'd like to get some help in locating other BHS Class of '67 members current email and mailing addresses to alert them to the Class of '67 website. The internet has search engines designed for that purpose. Due to the hundreds of names (546) for the '67 graduating class and time involved, I would like a few volunteers to break the list down alphabetically and begin compiling. Pls. contact me by email if interested. Thanks for you help!. Kevin |

Favorite Brandywine Teachers or Teacher Stories Sunday, 07-Mar-1999 23:43:54
209.143.125.18 writes: Does anyone know what happened to any of the teachers at BHS?. I am amazed that one, Robert Lathrop, is still teaching at Brandywine. I remember that one time, Mr. Pro got so mad at our history class that he hit the lectern with such force that it split in half. He reminded me of one of Peter Seller's characters in Dr. Strangelove. Mr. Dannaway, a favorite of us Latin students used to sit down sideways in his chair after making a point on the blackboard. One time while sitting down, the chair collapsed, sending him crashing to the floor. Everybody howled, not knowing if he was hurt or mad or what. He got up, smiled and went on teaching. That was real class!. It was during Mrs. Ott's class that I distinctly remember people coming in, paying attention for about 5 minutes, then clearing their desk, taking off their glasses, then putting their head down on the desk and dozing off to sleep for the remainder of the class!. People were snoring, it was a riot. The kid next to me kept writing in his notebook; "426 HEMI" over and over again. Poor Mrs. Ott kept droning on. The ironic part was that the subject matter was mildly interesting. Too bad nobody paid attention. Kevin |
